An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
