In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
